Our Mission is to cultivate appreciation
for Native American Fine Art and support Native Artists, Families
and Commmunities in a good way. Click
here for more information.
Native Art Network is 100% American Indian
owned and operated by Paul and Lesley Kabotie (Hopi / Santa
Clara Pueblo and Crow respectively). Our families of the Southwest
and Northern Plains have a long history of involvement in
the arts. The driving inspiration behind the web site was
the desire of artists within our families and communities
to have an affordable professional marketing presence on the
internet. We have merged our experience and expertise in the
areas of the arts, marketing, business, software, database
and internet technologies to create a web site that is easy
for artists to setup, can be updated easily by the artists
themselves, is actively marketed and is visited by art collectors
and connoisseurs worldwide.

Initially started in 1998, we kicked off
with a bang. In 1999, we took artwork from 12 artists to a
show in Milan Italy, and then collaborated to host a 3 week
private show in Vicenza Italy exclusively for Native Art Network
artists. We received critical acclaim in Italy, had over two
thousand people visit our art show, and were featured in international
publications and continue to be visited from people around
the world on a daily basis. Our current marketing venues include
advertisements in Native Peoples magazine and major art show
programs.
With the new database-driven functionality,
we are able to provide a valuable marketing tool to artists
and people looking for fine American
Indian Art. Our ultimate goal is to provide a quality
service to inform and educate prospective buyers, and to facilitate
marketing opportunites that benefit Native Artists.
We have developed a unique business model
in which we educate and inform, provide professional service
and yet make no profit on the modest annual fees we charge
artists. Artist fees go directly toward technology and marketing
the web site. We don't charge commission for our services.
Our profit comes from advertising, sponsorships and broker
service fees.
