The juried art exhibition and market includes 32 of the highest caliber American Indian artists and artisans, many living and working in the Northwest. See demonstrations of traditional artwork from the best Northwest carvers, printmakers, weavers, sculptors and fiber artisans. In 2008 Native artists were represented from Hawaii, Alaska, and Washington State, Canada as well as from the U.S. Southwest and East Coast. Experience the best in contemporary Pacific Northwest Native arts!

The Festival on the museum's plaza will showcase high quality art, demonstrations, Native dancers, Native culture, Native American foods and musicians and storytellers.

The event is organized and presented by the Washington State Historical Society and the Evergreen State College Longhouse Education and Cultural Center, with support from the Tahoma Indian Center, and Suquamish tribe.
